Aingeal walks into the office, distressed on her first day in Cork. She had heard Cork was a nice town to visit, and found herself a nice place to stay. Considering today was "Day of Giving" in Fenia, Aingeal wanted to participate, even though she wasn't at home. The only way she knew how was to put low priced meat that she cut herself on the market. She had a good supply of chicken legs with her, so she decide to place twenty of them on the market. Much to her distress, they were quickly snapped up, and not by anyone that could benefit from such a low priced deal.

Sir, I placed twenty chicken legs on the market, to help out those less fortunate than myself, as today is the Fenian "Day of Giving". I placed 20 legs on the market at 7.50 fr, only to have them snapped up quickly by a local butcher. Selene purchased every single one as seen here;not giving any of the fine residents of Cork a chance to spot such a wonderful deal. I don't understand why a butcher would need to snap up every single one of my chicken legs for her own. I looked and looked for the laws here in Bravia, finally having to have a Bravian help me find them as they are not readily available for viewing. There was nothing wrong with me selling my items on the market, and now I feel bad for those that I was trying to help. Instead of now thirty chicken legs on the market for people to eat, there are now only ten as seen here. And if my twenty make a reappearance, I wonder myself if they will be at the 7.50 fr I originally put them at. Is this how people of great stature treat their fellow citizens? Isn't there laws in place to prevent such things from occuring?

Still distressed at the recent events, Aingeal headed to the tavern to see if perhaps she could help some folks directly, and hoped that the power that be looked into this event further.

Aingeal wandered to the office to see if anyone had responded to her complaint. Seeing no one had, Aingeal shook her head. Penning a quick note at the bottom of the complaint:

It has been three days since I lodged a complaint. You would think that I would have at least been contacted by now. At this point, I just want my chicken legs back at 7.50fr each, and I will just stay in the University until it's time for me to go home.

Edit:

The town of Cork does not have any market laws and defer the legal rules by which they fall under to the Viceroyalty of Bravia. The Legal Corpus of the Viceroyalty does not prohibit the action reported to this office.

On that other note, I shall make a compendium of this Viceroyalty's Legal Corpus and town laws to be posted where it is easily found. If you have any questions, I am best reached through IG mail.

Master Nathan,

I seem to have broken a law in my town to which the Captain of my town has taken a bottle over my young small head and given me a gash upon it. No, I do not wish him harmed. I wish myself to be charged as I must have done something towards my town to deserve such a blow to my small head. I know that I am but a child in your eyes but I have seen much. I do not know the rules of the elders, I am sorry that I have not fulfilled my duties as a citizen by reading them. The mistake is mine and I only wish to make amends for what I have done.

Maria walks into the office looking for Nathan. "Good Sir, Belicima has not violated any laws in Paz. The attack was an unfortunate misunderstanding and the Captain of Paz has apologized publically in the Mayor's Office in the Town of Paz."

Turning to Belicima, she takes her hand, "Why don't you let me escort you home. Xenor is learning the ways of our land, but will not attack any other citizens without valid reason. And I've got something to help you recover from your wounds. We'll be very safe traveling together."

Nodding to Nathan, Maria and Belicima leave his office together.

[Nathan]

It was an odd request. Never before had he heard of one asking to be charged with a crime. He looked at Belicima, quite puzzled on what to do next. Another came in and offered an explanation for what had transpired. Nathan listened and nodded. A misunderstanding... He called out a simple 'Be well!' as they turned and left his office. Back to waiting, he thought.

It was a beautiful, sunny morning in Paz. Admiring the spring blooms as she flutters to her office on Monday morning, Maria is surprised to see Datron standing there with the town defenders and... is that Scarlette she sees with them? Why do they have an esteemed visitor to our town with their hands tied behind their backs?

Oh, THAT's why....



Making her way to the PP office, she asks to speak with Nathan.

"Greetings Prosecutor Nathan,

I'd like to file charges against Scarlette for a revolt attempt to take over the Paz town hall last night. From all the evidence it appears that she acted alone. The Paz Town Charter and Laws are clearly stickied in the City of Paz forum and state that:

2. Revolts and Attempted Revolts are considered a moderate to serious crime depending on the success of the attempt and the extent to which items are taken from the Town Hall coffers or inventory.

a. Attempted revolt - if not authorized by the Viceroy and/or the citizens of Paz via a public vote, is considered a moderate crime that will result in fines paid to Town Hall plus jail time and/or forced labor.

"I would like to press charges against Scarlette and request that as part of her punishment she be forced to wash the temple windows and also pay any fines, however small, in 1 frez increments donated to the town. Perhaps some good alignment will help her see the error of her ways."

I, Xavier of Imperius, have been asked to be the defendants lawyer in the proceedings should they be carried out. I ask that as a gesture of good will towards the viceroyalty of Fenia that all proceedings take place in the Forums and the verdict be carried out in the courtroom. Not granting this simple request would be unfair and detrimental to the defence of the defendant. I hope we can get through this case with ease should it be taken to court.

Scarlette glares at the men holding her but does not reach for her agiel, instead she looks up as the Mayor arrives and smiles slightly.
